This community started out with just a hand full of members who had
ALL been banned from another military themed forum.
We all wanted to continue honoring our troops as best we could
without looking over our shoulders for the "Mod Squad"
to Smoke us for using the quote option in our replies
or whatever the bitch of the moment was.

One of my 1st working titles( before ever launching it on the net) for a site name was "Home of the banned"
Thankfully that idea was quickly Deep 6'D
and replaced with "Outsider's World"
but over time I started thinking
that title was simply too alienating
and despite my HUGE ego did NOT want this community
all about me and my beef with others.
You may notice that I rarely if ever refer to this site
as "MY site".
This site was founded for and about the troops NOT Outsider.
And I don't care if you've been here 3 minutes or 3 years
this site is just as much yours as it is mine.

I took the O and the W and Merged "CommandPost" onto them
to form the title we now have.
The original idea is still embedded in the name as
tribute to our past.

The CommandPost part just gives it IMHO a military feel to the overall
theme were going for.
